Garena Sign Up: How to Create a Garena Account and Set Up Garena Authenticator

In this guide, I’m going to show you how to sign up for a Garena account and set up the Garena Authenticator to increase data security for your new Garena account.

Garena is a popular game developer and publisher best known for developing Garena Free Fire and publishing a variety of pc and mobile online games, including League of Legends, Arena of Valor, and Heroes of Newerth, among many others.

For those unaware, Garena Free Fire is one of the most popular battle royale games in the industry. It was downloaded over 260 million times in 2020 alone. It’s popularity stems from it being a fast-paced game that’s available on all platforms, including Android and iPhone, as well as its compatibility with low-end mobile devices like the Moto G family.

To access most of these games, you’re definitely going to need a Garena account. So if you’re eager to get started, be sure to read and follow the steps in the guide below.

1. Go to https://sso.garena.com/ui/register.

2. Choose and enter a username.

3. Create a new password. Your password must be between 8 and 16 characters long, and it must contain at least one alphabet character and one number.

4. Enter a valid email address, which can later be used to retrieve your password.

5. Select your country code and type in your mobile phone number.

6. Select your country from the drop-down menu located beneath the Mobile Number text box.

7. Check the box to agree to the terms of service and privacy policy.

8. Click “Register Now.”

Additionally, you can download the Garena Authenticator app on your mobile device to add an extra layer of security for your Garena accounts.

The app is free, and it’s available on both the Apple App Store and on Google Play.

To get started, go to Google Play or the Apple App Store and search for “Garena Authenticator.”

Tap “Install” and wait for the app to download completely. Once finished, tap “Open” and select “Add Account.” It’s worth noting that to use Garena Authenticator, you will first need to enable 2-step authentication on your Garena account at www.garena.com/account and then link your Garena account to the Garena Authenticator.

Now scan the barcode and enter the code generated on the app to add your account and complete the configuration process. If you can’t scan the barcode, click “Can’t scan the barcode?” and enter the 16-character security key generated online manually.

Tap “Done” and… you’re done!
